Kinesiology

Kinesiology is one of the fastest-growing natural health therapies, known for its ability to identify the functional root cause of symptoms quickly and non-invasively. At the Hennessy Clinic we use gentle muscle testing to read the body’s biofeedback and gain precise insight into what is affecting your health at a biochemical, structural, emotional and energetic level.

~ Do you want to understand why you feel the way you do?
~ Do your symptoms keep returning?
~ Do you feel “not quite right” despite trying everything?
~ Do you want to improve your cellular health and support your natural repair system?

Kinesiology can help.

How Muscle Testing Works...

There are 43 usable muscles in Kinesiology, each linked to specific organs, glands, hormones, neurotransmitters or nutrient pathways. When a muscle weakens or “switches off” under gentle pressure, it highlights an imbalance in the system it relates to. This switches back on when the correct support is identified.
Muscle testing gives immediate access to information stored in the nervous system, helping us understand where your biological pathways are blocked, under-functioning or struggling to repair.
It removes the guesswork from healthcare and provides a clear, personalised route towards better health.

The Benefits of Kinesiology ...

Unlike conventional approaches that treat symptoms in isolation, Kinesiology recognises the interconnectedness of the body. It helps identify the functional root cause of symptoms such as fatigue, hormonal imbalance, gut issues, recurring infections, emotional stress, skin concerns and pain that will not resolve.
Because we are each biochemically unique, every treatment is fully personalised. What works for one person may not work for another. Kinesiology adapts to your biology, your lifestyle and your cellular needs.

Kinesiology Supports ...

~ Functional Health and root-cause clarity
~ Cellular health and mitochondrial function
~ Hormonal and digestive balance
~ Emotional wellbeing
~ Immune regulation
~ Structural alignment and recovery from injuries
~ Health optimisation and overall resilience

How Kinesiology began ...

Muscle testing originated in the 1930s with orthopaedic surgeon R W Lovett, who used it to assess nerve damage in Polio patients. Dr George Goodheart later developed Applied Kinesiology, demonstrating its remarkable ability to uncover complex health issues. From there it spread across the world and is now used by doctors, dentists, chiropractors, osteopaths, nutritionists and functional practitioners.

Kinesiology for Hormonal Health...

Kinesiology will give you a detailed picture of where your hormone levels are and why they are out of balance. We work to upregulate the biological pathways that manufacture and metabolise your hormones, so balance is restored quickly and naturally.

Kinesiology for Gut Health...

There is a popular saying “you are what you eat” but at the Hennessy Clinic we prefer “you are what you absorb”. Muscle testing allows us to assess key digestive markers, understand how efficiently each digestive organ is functioning, identify any pathogens or irritants affecting the gut and determine which foods may be disturbing the balance of beneficial bacteria. This gives a detailed picture of your gut health and how to improve it.

Kinesiology for Stress & Emotional Balance ...

Kinesiology works deeply with the endocrine system, including the adrenal glands. We use techniques such as tapping, acupressure, Bach remedies and neurological balancing to release stored stress and restore emotional stability.

Kinesiology for Physical Health & Performance ...

Kinesiology can:
~ Upregulate digestive, hormonal, immune and respiratory systems
~ Support reproductive health
~ Improve aerobic capacity and cellular energy production
~ Optimise mitochondrial health
~ Identify nutrient needs
~ Support recovery from stubborn injuries
~ Improve muscular balance and structural alignment

Supporting Your Overall Wellbeing ...

Each session rebalances the body physically, nutritionally, emotionally and energetically to restore natural repair pathways and support lasting wellbeing.
